Established in 1923, the Arcadia Improvement Association is the longest continuously operating community association in Baltimore. The Arcadia Improvement Association is a volunteer neighborhood organization for those who live within Arcadia. AIA is committed to promoting and protecting the beauty, safety, stability, cleanliness, and economic viability of the neighborhood by fostering alliances with local residents, merchants, and government officials.
What does the Arcadia Improvement Association do for you?
- Organizes annual events like the Block Party, Community Yard Sale, New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.
- Advocates with City officials for community concerns including crime prevention, enforcement of housing and sanitation violations, and more
- Keeps the neighborhood connected and well informed through the Arcadian newsletter, website, Facebook group and Arcadia listserv
- Pursues grants and other resources to improve the neighborhood as needed.
