The winners of the Arcadia Improvement Association Paul Preziosi Scholarship are Matthew Brill-Carlat and Aaron Gehring.

Matthew and Aaron described their future plans.

Matthew: “I’m attending Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, NY. I don’t know what I’ll major in, but I will continue my studies in History and Spanish and hope to explore Psychology for the first time. I’m planning to study abroad in a Spanish speaking country, play Ultimate Frisbee, do theater, and discover lots of new interests. My heartfelt thanks to the AIA for the scholarship!”

Aaron: “I am honored to be selected for the Preziosi scholarship to help me pursue my goals in college. I will be attending Salisbury University on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I believe that Salisbury University is a school that I will help me thrive in my major and will be a great experience that I will remember long after my time there. I am going in to study Social Work and Political Science so that I will be able to help people in the world and in finding ways to make the world a better place. At Salisbury University, I will be learning to advocate for people that are in need and to work with the community to help others. I want to explore policy making for changes that can impact large groups of marginalized people. Thank you for the chance that you have given me with this scholarship. I will use it well.”

Congratulations to our neighborhood scholars!
